Ideal for kids who were enrolled to any woodworking basics (kidpentry or other carpentry program) ages 10+
On Day 1, students learn to think like furniture designers — exploring form, function, and structure. They will sketch ideas, create miniature prototypes, and develop foundational skills in manual and hand tool use.
On Day 2, they bring their design to life by building their own functional furniture using real tools, guided instruction, and proper woodworking techniques.
This program bridges creativity and craftsmanship — teaching students that great design is not just imagined, it is built.
By the end of the workshop, each student walks away with:
- A clear understanding of furniture design fundamentals
- Experience working with real tools
- A prototype-to-product journey
- A handcrafted furniture they designed and built themselves
